If you want to learn how to fly drones, then you must start with the basics. Among the first things you will encounter is the transmitter. You should first know what the various sticks and buttons represent. In a typical RC quadcopter drone, the main controls are the right and left stick. There are some drone models which have many other buttons, but the right and the left are the most basic which you must know how to operate.
The more professional models with many buttons are definitely not the best quadcopter for beginners. This is because they can be overwhelming at first instance, as most beginners cannot embrace the many options presented to them. Whatever the model, the left and right sticks are used in controlling about 900 of the drone’s basic maneuvers.
THE LEFT STICK:
The Left stick controls the throttle and the yaw.
Yaw:
Simply put, yaw is getting the multirotors to rotate. Thus, pushing the left stick of the quadcopter causes the multirotors to rotate. By rotating, the quadcopter can be positioned in that particular spot in the air.
The Throttle:
Throttle is simply the moving up and down of the multirotors . Thus, you can change the drone’s altitude by moving up and down the left stick. When flying the drone, you must control the throttle all the time so you must familiarize yourself with this particular control.
The RIGHT STICK:
The right stick controls the pitch and roll.
The Roll:
This refers to the moving of drone sideways. By moving the drone’s right stick left or right, you will cause the quadcopter to roll towards that direction. The drone’s altitude is not affected by the roll since the drone moves to the right or left.
The pitch:
This refers to the moving forwards or backwards of the drone. By pushing the right stick upwards or downwards you cause the drone to move forwards or backwards.
With these four controls, you can operate a long range quadcopter , a drone hd camera, or any other quadcopter because all flying basically involves moving up and down or left to right as required.
