What to Know Before Getting a Drone Pilot Licensing

When flying a drone especially for commercial purposes, you will need to have the necessary drone pilot license. In order to get the license, you will need to understand the legality of flying a drone. Let us look as some of these.
When you are flying, you will need to be around 11 miles from an airport or even less than 400 feet airborne. The Federal Aviation Administration regulates these rules in the U.S. When these rules aren’t followed, this could cause arrest or even the possibility of facing criminal charges.

Another important thing that you need to understand is that the drone should be within your sight at all times. There are certain areas that are restricted such as National Parks due to the need to protect wildlife. You should also not fly within private property for some obvious reasons. In case your drone fall from the sky, it is possible to be charged for various things such as the reckless endangerment or even unlawful surveillance in case you invade someone’s property.
One of the reasons why there are more people willing to learn how they should fly a drone is that it is illegal to hire someone to do that. It is also illegal to use the quadcopter for commercial purposes. However, your case may be reviewed by the FAA and you may be allowed to fly. Some of the key examples that need the FAA approval are the drones that are used in real estate photography, making deliveries and wedding photography.

However, it is also worth noting that the law enforcement agencies use drones to do surveillance. There are people that argue that this amount to violating their private rights. There are others who suggest that it is unfair for the law enforcers to use them as this amount to commercial use.
